Nissan has introduced a unique version of the Frontier pickup called the Frontier Tarmac, developed in partnership with Forsberg Racing for the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

This pickup has been fully transformed for drifting, featuring a custom lowered suspension and a 3.8-liter V-6 engine with a supercharger, resulting in 440 horsepower. The interior has also received retro touches, such as exclusive Recaro seats and a carbon fiber steering wheel.

The collaboration between Nissan and Chris Forsberg’s team took six months to adapt the original Frontier PRO-X, maintaining the nine-speed automatic transmission and focusing on rear-wheel power.

The pickup is equipped with a Nismo brake system, including a special hydraulic handbrake for drifting, as well as suspension adjustments that provide a very low height for a performance style rare in pickups today.

Forsberg commented on the charm of building a high-performance pickup, something he hadn’t done since 2003, and highlighted the fun of bringing this style back. The Frontier Tarmac will be displayed alongside other custom vehicles from Nissan, showcasing the brand’s commitment to exploring new design and performance possibilities at the SEMA Show.
